The Witness has sprung Eramis from her icy prison and Drifter has decided to "borrow" us from our daily Vanguard shenanigans for reclaiming his shipment of...unknown contents from House Salvation.
Spiders' back?! And he's the cargo?!?! What is Drifter planning?
Honestly, I thought Spider was going to come out of that cargo hold wearing a bathrobe and some curlers with how embarrassed he was to have us find him in that state.
Spider seems to think House Salvation is looking for "relics and antiquities" but Drifter is thinking it's something bigger and wants to know who is running the show—there's no way they're this organized without a leader.
We find big-boi Kellhall of House Salvation, kick the kell's butt, and go on to examine the remains of Eramis’ Stasis Prison. Spider and Drifter discuss the implications of Eramis being back in play—Spider refers to Eramis as "The Ship Stealer" and they think the artifacts she is after was the price for her freedom. Though—Spider is more worried about how much money he could make off t he artifacts if he gets to them first.
Spider offers his (leopard print) Ketch for us to hunt down the artifacts before Eramis can get to them...as long as we don't let Drifter be the driver.
Spider is BACK, but now housed under the light of the traveler (what strings did Drifter pull to have that happen?!). We meet up with Spider, Drifter, Mithrax, and Eido in the bar (in a GLORIOUS CUTSCENE)—Mithrax informs us that the old crews are rallying under Eramis' flag. Drifter offers us a skeleton key for our plundering. Mithrax wants the whole power of the vanguard to hunt down Eramis, but Drifter KNOWS that they're too busy. Edio (Scribe of House Light) begs her father to band together with us and Drifter (in the biggest display of youthful bliss for the hope of gleaming any knowledge about "The Time of the Whirlwind" she can from the plundered antiquities) so we from the weirdest band of Space-Pirate fighters you could imagine.
What could the Eramis and the Witness want with the artifacts?
